God of the Living, Not the Dead
Nov 9, 2025 • Gary Sandberg
In this sermon on Job 19:23–27a and Luke 20:27–38, Pastor Gary challenges our tendency to imagine heaven only through the limits of earthly life. Drawing from Job’s bold confession—“I know that my Redeemer lives”—and Jesus’ teaching to the Sadducees, this message invites us to trust the God who is “God not of the dead, but of the living.” Instead of waiting for resurrection hope someday, we are called to live into God’s promises now: with courage, faith, and confidence that God is present in every joy and every struggle.
