Lent Begins with Temptation—and Ends in Grace
Lent begins in the wilderness. In Matthew 4:1-11, Jesus faces temptation—not as a distant spiritual hero, but as someone who understands hunger, doubt, and the pull to take the easier path. This sermon invites us to see our own struggles reflected in his, and to discover that grace meets us right in the middle of them.
As we begin these 40 days of reflection, we’re reminded that sin is real—but so is grace. We are imperfect people walking a challenging road, and yet we never walk it alone.
