Ash Wednesday: Be Reconciled to God

Feb 18, 2026    Gary Sandberg

On Ash Wednesday, we begin the season of Lent with ashes, honesty, and hope. Jesus invites us to examine not just what we do, but why we do it—calling us into a faith that is personal, vulnerable, and rooted in grace. In these 40 days, God opens space for us to be created, restored, delivered, and reconciled.

What You’ll Learn:

Reflect on why spiritual practices matter—and what motivates them

Embrace vulnerability as a pathway to forgiveness

Understand reconciliation as a gift from God, not an achievement

Discover how Lent creates space for deep, lasting transformation

Receive the invitation to be created, restored, and delivered by God

Matthew 6:1–6, 16–21

Psalm 51

2 Corinthians 5:20b–6:10
