Unseen

I had a flu bug yesterday. In the midst of feeling absolutely crummy I pondered the implication of something so small that it could not be seen, except through a microscope, wreaking havoc on my body. I wondered how something so small could have such a major impact on me. That flu bug changed the course of my day.

Faith is something like this. Faith cannot be seen, not even through a microscope. And yet it wreaks havoc on us; but in a very different way. Faith causes me to seek out and to see the best in people. Faith causes me to be generous to God-pleasing ministries. Faith causes me to read scripture as if it were written personally to me. Faith causes me to worship a God that I cannot see. Faith causes me to hope in that which I cannot see. Faith changes the course of my life - every day.
