In May 2024, Vicky Daub was elected at the RMS Synod Assembly to serve as a Lay delegate at the National Assembly of the ELCA in Phoenix, Arizona this week. Vicky will be sharing devotional reflections from her time at the assembly.
A few days after I return home, I will be having total right knee replacement surgery. As such, walking even a short distance is uncomfortable, even with a walker.
Friends recommended that I call my airline and request assistance. Thankfully, I followed their advice.Two caring, kind individuals sustained me today. They pushed me in a wheelchair while pulling my walker, getting me exactly where I needed to go.
Upon my arrival at the Phoenix convention center, where the Assembly is taking place, I noticed a volunteer in charge of motorized scooters for the week. Without a reservation, this volunteer loaned me a scooter for the week, at no charge!
Thank You, Lord for the three angels on earth who helped me today. I cast my cares/concerns on You this morning, and You provided 3 earthly angels to help me.
