Christ’s death on the cross is a revelatory moment in the history of the world. The Creator of the Universe is present in human form, dies on the cross at Calvary. In this moment, it is revealed to us not just that Jesus suffers for us, but suffers with us.
Jesus’ life reveals to us what God is like, and that includes the ending of Jesus’ life on the Cross. Through his crucifixion Jesus shows us that God is present when humans face suffering, despair, and death.
