Epiphany is a season of light and a time when God’s presence is revealed in unexpected places. Every Wednesday and Friday during the Epiphany season, we will be sharing a devotional reflection that invites us to follow Christ as our Rising Star, pausing to reflect on how his light continues to guide our faith and shape our lives.
TODAY: Stars fill us with a sense of mystery and awe. Jesus’ miracles and ministry reveal to us the immeasurable power of God.
Looking up at a star filled sky on a clear night is indescribable. When we see just how big and beautiful the cosmos are, we can’t help but be amazed at the universe we live in. The promises of God, the words, actions, and miracles of Jesus can also fill us with this sense of awe and amazement. The creator of the entire Universe knows our name and loves us!
They were all amazed, and they kept on asking one another, “What is this? A new teaching—with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.” - Mark 1:27
Take some time to really think about the enormity of God’s power and promises. Talk with God about the problems in your life. Hand them over to God this morning.
PRAYER
God, your power is behind our comprehension. Help us to trust You with the all our life. AMEN.
