Centering Prayer
Learn and practice the Ancient Spiritual Practice of Centering Prayer with a committed community of adults. There are two groups that meet for a time of study and 20 minutes of meditative prayer, both meet in the Bethany Chapel.

Lois Circle
Lois Circle is a women’s Bible study group that meets from 9:15-11:30 am on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (September – May) in Room 210. Meetings include food & fellowship, a time of prayer & praise, and group discussion of the lesson for the month.

Each year a different book, video series, or scripture study is selected as the resource for group discussion. This year we will take an in-depth look at the assigned scripture readings for the upcoming Sunday sermon with one of the Pastoral team as our study leader. Men’s Bible Study
Men’s Bible Study meets every Saturday morning at 9am for a lively discussion of scripture with the Men of Bethany. Contact Scott Zimmerman for more information
Breakfast with the Bible
Study scriptures for the upcoming week over breakfast! Discuss the assigned scripture readings each week and help the Pastoral team craft their weekly sermons. Held in the Library every Tuesday morning. Tuesdays 9:00am-10:00am. Led by the following Sunday's preacher. No need to RSVP - join in!
Wednesday Night Bible Study
Our Wednesday Night Adult Ed class will be taught each week by a member of the Pastoral Team. Begin with a time of Evening Prayer as we prepare our hearts for an in-depth study of scripture. Then experience an in depth and thorough look at a particular scripture passage led by a member of the pastoral staff and small group discussion questions.

Join in 6:00pm-6:45pm in the Chapel resuming in September.
Parent's Group
Parent's Group is a gathering of Bethany parents that builds relationships and share a practical conversation about raising kids today. Each week we have a specific topic for discussion but we always allow for the conversation to branch out and evolve. It’s a great way to meet other Bethany parents and to learn from one another. Meets Wednesdays from 6:25pm-7:00pm in Room 400 downstairs. Connect with Kevin Dragseth for more info!
Bethany Patchers
This group makes quilts for Lutheran World Relief, meeting the 2nd Monday of the month, 9:00am – 12:00pm in room 209. To make a fabric donation or get involved, email office.
Prayer Shawl Ministries
Serve those experiencing difficulty in their lives by joining a knitting & crocheting group that makes prayer shawls. Call Sarah in the church office at 303.758.2820 for more information.
Yoga
This is a beginner-intermediate level Yoga Class that is open to the community and incorporates a theme from our life of faith each week. Participants are invited to make a free-will offering, but there is no required cost for the class. All donations will go to a Bethany Outreach Partner Organization.

Faithful Readers
This book club meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00pm. in the Library to discuss monthly book selections. Contact Judi for current book selections and more information.
Thursday Men’s Group
These gatherings take place on Thursdays at 6:30pm. Join us for weekly food and fellowship. Contact Justin for more information, or to be added to the email chain for weekly reflections and meeting locations.
Women of Bethany Fellowship
All are welcome and you can participate monthly or a few times a year, whenever it is convenient for you. If you wish to be notified of each of our gatherings via e-mail, you can join our WOB e-mail group list by contacting Lizza Aalto or Marilyn Narveson.
Bethany Dinner Club
Such a fun way to get to know others at Bethany!! Groups of 6 adults share a meal, brunch out, or dinner in a home, about three times in a five month period. Meet new people or enjoy longtime friendships. Each group decides where and when to gather. Couples and singles are welcome! Email Bethanybreakingbread@gmail.com with your interest or questions. The Book of Joshua - God Keeps the Promise

“And the people said to Joshua, “We will serve the Lord our God and obey him.” – Joshua 24:24

The book of Joshua begins with the Israelites’ entering into the Promised Land with their new leader, Joshua. God has fulfilled the promise made to the Israelite people and after 40 years of wandering in the wilderness the community that was freed from slavery has finally arrived in the land of Canaan.

God’s original promise to Abraham was that his descendants would be blessed and many and they would be given the land of Canaan. While it took hundreds of years and difficult times in Egypt, the book of Joshua tells the story of God following through on this original promise. Towards the end of Joshua, the Israelites and God renew their covenant with one another.

For us today, the book of Joshua provides us with a picture of how we can understand our relationship with God. God can be trusted to keep God’s promises and so in response to God’s faithfulness, we commit ourselves to acts of service in the world.
