Preparation
I am so much more relaxed on a trip when I know that I have prepared for it. Even a small trip is more enjoyable when I know that I have enough power for the trip, and have remembered to have a water bottle in the car with me. If it will be a little longer trip, knowing that I have a snack with me brings comfort.
My needs for the journey of summer spirituality could be similar. When I prepare for the season it seems so much more fruitful. I do not catch myself second-guessing as to what I should be doing. And, my planning generally includes enough space for the unexpected to still be explored.
I encourage to you put some plan in place. It might be something very simple. It may lead you into a new place, and new understanding of your relationship with God.
Lord, help me to prepare, so that my focus can be on you.
