Finding Strength in Weakness: A Reflection on God’s Grace (2 Corinthians 12:9)

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

There are days when I wish strength came easier. Days when I wish I could hold everything together and always appear composed. But this verse from 2 Corinthians reminds me that God doesn’t ask us to be unbreakable, just honest.

It’s as if God is whispering to me, 'You don’t have to be stronger.'

We often think faith means overcoming our weaknesses. "Have faith!" we say, as if it's just so easy to just pull up our bootstraps and believe again.  But the truth is, that the scriptures don't just tell us to be stronger or do better, they tell a story about a God who meets us in our weakness.  Grace isn’t a reward for those who get it right; it’s the quiet strength that meets us when we don’t.

Today ask yourself, what if my imperfections are actually invitations? What if the cracks in our lives are where grace gets in?
